Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Retalk collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the website, dashboard, desktop app, billing, and related services.

1. Interpretation and definitions

Account means a profile created to access Retalk. Personal Data means information relating to an identified or identifiable person. Service means the real-time translation website, dashboard, desktop app, billing, and related workflows we provide. Usage Data means information collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, request metadata, device data, and translated-minute records.

2. Information you provide

We collect information you provide directly, including email address, name, optional profile information, support messages, billing details handled by payment providers, and settings you choose in the app.

3. Usage data

When you visit or use Retalk, we may collect IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages visited, time and date of visit, time spent on pages, device identifiers, translated session start times, provider, duration, charged minutes, error logs, cookies, and similar technologies needed to operate and secure the service.

4. Information from third parties

If you sign in through a third-party service such as Google, we may receive your name, email address, profile picture, account identifier, and related authentication information according to that provider's settings. Payment providers may send us billing metadata, payment status, receipts, and fraud or dispute signals.

5. How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, and improve Retalk; authenticate users; link desktop and web sessions; meter translated minutes; process billing; send transactional messages; provide support; analyze usage trends; detect abuse; debug failures; improve reliability; enforce terms; and comply with legal obligations.

6. Translation-specific practices

Audio is translated in real time and is not stored by Retalk. Transcripts stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them outside the app. Billing history stores only session metadata such as start time, provider, duration, and charged minutes.

7. Sharing information

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with service providers that help us run Retalk, including payment processors, cloud hosting, storage, analytics, security, email, support, and model infrastructure providers. We may also share information for legal reasons, business transfers, safety, fraud prevention, or with your consent.

8. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Billing and aggregate usage may be retained for operations, billing, security, and compliance.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data. Requests use HTTPS, credentials are scoped, and billing data is handled through payment providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential.

10. Your choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of eligible personal data by contacting contact@retalk.app. You may opt out of promotional messages where available. Some operational, security, billing, and legal notices may still be sent because they are required to provide the service.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last updated date. Significant changes may be notified by email or in-service notice.

12. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent to contact@retalk.app.
